IHEC Karbala Director Meets with Civil Society Representatives and Election Monitoring Networks

Mr. Ali Abdul Ameer Al-Haidari, Director of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) office in Karbala, received a delegation of representatives from civil society organizations and election monitoring networks. The delegation included Mr. Alaa Al-Asadi, Board Member of EIN Network, Ms. Mithal Al-Qatifi, EIN Network Coordinator in Karbala, and Ms. Sarah Ahmed, Tammuz Network Coordinator in Karbala. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Najeh Al-Hasani, Technical Assistant, along with several heads of relevant departments in the office.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Haidari emphasized the critical role played by monitoring teams and civil society organizations in promoting transparency and integrity in the electoral process. He praised their ongoing efforts and effective collaboration during previous electoral events.
Mr. Alaa Al-Asadi highlighted that monitoring networks, particularly the Ain Network, are committed to fully supporting the work of the IHEC to help ensure the success of upcoming elections.
Ms. Sarah Ahmed from the Tammuz Network presented an overview of upcoming plans and activities to be implemented in the province. She stressed the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between the Commission and civil society organizations, especially in organizing training workshops that contribute to raising electoral awareness and educating voters.
This meeting is part of broader efforts to strengthen the partnership between IHEC and civil society organizations in preparation for the upcoming electoral milestones.
