Baghdad, November 1, 2025**


The Ein Network for Election Monitoring and Democracy launched a series of simultaneous training session sacross several Iraqi governorates, as part of the "Empowering Civic Participation and Freedom of Media” project, funded by the **European Union and implemented in cooperation with the **Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) These activities come in preparation for monitoring the parliamentary elections scheduled for November 11, 2025


The trainings were held in the governorates of Kut, Mosul, Diyala, Najaf, Diwaniyah, and Nasiriyah, with a wide youth participation from different regions.


The sessions focused on monitoring the general and special voting processes, covering several key topics such as the duties and responsibilities of observers, reporting mechanisms for violations, and the procedures for preparing and submitting field reports accurately and promptly. The trainings also included practical exercises to enhance participants’ monitoring skills and their ability to handle various situations during election day


These activities are part of the efforts of the Ain Network and the Election Monitoring Networks Coalition** to promote transparency and electoral integrity, strengthen the capacities of local observers, and contribute to ensuring a fair and credible electoral process that reflects the will of the voters
