Baghdad: December 30, 2024. The delegation of monitoring networks visited the Independent High Electoral Commission. The reception was attended by Judge Amer Al-Husseini, Head of the Electoral Administration, and Mr. Walid Khaled, Director of the Operations and Information Technology Department. During the meeting, the mechanism of cooperation between the High Commission and Monitoring networks in the elections for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament and holding a joint session to discuss the most important recommendations of monitoring networks, in addition to the new program that is funded by The European Union mission, in cooperation with the Norwegian People’s Aid Organization, is concerned with “Democracy and Transparency: Empowering Civic Participation and Media Freedom,” which will take a period of two years from 2024 to 2026, and the two parties agreed to work together to make the project a success and hold various events and activities in 18 Iraqi governorates.  The following networks participated in the meeting: 1- Hoger Jato Sheikha - General Coordinator of the Shams Election Monitoring Network. 2- Afyan Rahim Ali - President of the Tammuz Organization for Social Development. 3- Zaher Rabie Hussein - Project Manager - Tammuz Organization 4- Dr. Ali Khudair Al-Anbouri - Project Manager - Shams Network 5- Zainab Ali Muhammad Hussein Shubar - Representative of the Ein Election and Democracy Monitoring Network
