Duhok Election Office Director Receives Delegation from Civil Society Organizations and Election Monitoring Networks

Mr. Khalid Abbas Omar, Director of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) office in Duhok Governorate, received a delegation of representatives from civil society organizations and election monitoring networks, including EIN, Shams, and Tammuz.

During the meeting, Mr. Khalid Abbas expressed his warm welcome to the delegation and affirmed IHEC’s full readiness to cooperate and coordinate with civil society organizations and monitoring networks to support and implement activities under the "Democracy and Transparency" project, aiming to enhance citizen participation and ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

This meeting is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with oversight and community-based entities, contributing to the promotion of transparency and accountability in the upcoming elections.
