"EIN – Tammuz – Shams" Networks Hold First Meeting with the Electoral Commission in Diwaniyah

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the Ain Network team in Diwaniyah held its first coordination meeting with Mr. Fares Mohammed Ali, Director of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) office in Diwaniyah. The meeting was part of the preparations for implementing activities under the project “Democracy and Transparency: Empowering Civic Engagement and Media Freedom.”

During the meeting, EIN Network was introduced and upcoming activities were outlined. The meeting was attended by Ms. Feryal Al-Kaabi, representative of the Shams Network, and Ms. Hind Waleed, representative of the Tammuz Network.

Discussions also covered the formation of the local team in the governorate and the importance of joint cooperation between the Electoral Commission and civil society organizations. Mr. Fares Mohammed Ali affirmed the full readiness of the Diwaniyah office to cooperate, coordinate, and partner with the three networks throughout the electoral process to enhance transparency and civic participation.
